Class A CDL Upgrade Training Program
This
training is for experienced Class B drivers or for former Class A drivers
who are seeking a current license. Participants must hold a current
Class A permit to be accepted to the program. The primary focus of this
class is on range and road training with some time spent in classroom
activities to prepare students to be over the road drivers.
The following requirements must be met before a student is accepted
into the Class A upgrade program:
· A completed application.
· A valid Maine Driver's License.
· A current Class A CDL permit
· A current copy of driving record.
· A DOT physical and clean drug test result
· A $700 deposit (applies to tuition and is refundable if not
accepted).
The tuition price of $2,850 includes some classroom activities, range,
and road training. Upgrade students are allowed two road test attempts
as part of the program tuition.
MCST Class A CDL Upgrade courses are scheduled throughout the year.
